A Place To Sit Down

I don't really see how the prose fits in with the shot o be perfectly honest, but even so it looks alrght, because it brings an element of real life, reality into a rather dark image.
The things that make the image dark is the weather, which makes it light up in a very grey mannerand then the angle, taken from the left means you look down the tarmac where the bench is placed which is another rather everyday scene, but the black of the tarmac brings the picture another tone down. Then you add to it the fact that it is taken from a very low sight line, which makes the bench (like the sign post in your 'Lost' picture) more dominant.
